Daylight saving time in 2022 - will the time change or not?
Daylight saving time. Spring forward. 21 march

Daylight Saving Time 2023. When the time changes this year. The day the clocks are an hour ahead

The time change in Romania is made twice a year to make longer use of sunlight. This year we will move to summer time on March 27th.

Romania is one of the few countries in the world that has two time zones that change depending on the time of year and the season.

Thus, there is the summertime when the daylight is longer in the sky and the wintertime when the day is shorter. The purpose of this change is to use as much sunlight as possible, but some experts say that “clockwork” can have devastating long-term health consequences. It is taken into account that the time will not be changed, in the future, to remain in a single time zone. Here is the exact time when the clock strikes 2022 and what you need to know about it:

Next year we will move to daylight saving time in the spring of 2023, on March 27, Sunday. Thus, 04:00 will become 03:00, the EET time zone will be switched to the EEST time zone, and the compression time in hours will move from GMT2 to GMT3.

The return to wintertime will be on Sunday, October 30, 2022, when 03:00 will become 04:00, and the sunlight will be in the sky for a few hours so that the night becomes longer.

This year, the transition from winter to summertime was made on Sunday, March 28, 2021, and the reverse transition from summer to winter took place on October 31, 2021, also on Sunday.

How does the change in time in 2023 affect us?

Even though the change of time has become a normal habit for most Romanians, health professionals and medical experts believe that this can negatively affect the body of people who are forced to go through this change twice a year. Experts believe that a person needs one or two weeks from the time of change until the human body gets used to the new time zone.

When will the time change in 2023?

“Clock date” is a change in routine and sleep hours, so some of the possible symptoms that may occur after the change are fatigue, insomnia, nervousness, headache, muscle aches, dizziness, irritability, anxiety, disorders in concentration, or change in appetite. The most affected people are those of extreme ages, namely children and the elderly, whose bodies are more sensitive and fragile.

History of the time change

Daylight Saving Time was first introduced in 1932. Initially, the change was made annually, every first Sunday in April at 00:00 and every first Sunday in October at 01:00. These changes were in force until 1939. Between 1941 and 1979 Romania gave up daylight saving time until the signing of the Time Zone
